Theresa Goh is a popular and known Singaporean swimmer and Paralympic medalist. In 2016 Summer Paralympics, Theresa Goh won a bronze medal in the SB4 100m breaststroke. She is a world record holder for the SB4 50 meters and 200 meters breaststroke events. She is 30 years old swimmer in the country who won many medals.
She was born on 16 February 1987 in Singapore. Theresa Goh was born prematurely at seven months with a congenital spina bifida. She was introduced to swimming at the age of just 5. She attended Tampines North Primary School and Dunman Secondary School. Later in 2008, Theresa Goh started studying applied psychology at Raffles College. In 1999, she started swimming and winning two gold medals at the National Swimming Championship. In a very short time, she established herself as a top competitor and won many other medals. Recently in 2015 Summer Paralympics, Theresa Goh won the bronze medal and again made her nation pride. She was conferred the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal) in the National Day Awards. Theresa Goh has a huge fan following in entire Singapore and outside also.
