Alaric Tay is a very famous and talented Singaporean actor, producer and director who appeared in few films also. He started his career in filmmaking in 2011 and directed his first film Final Detect. He is an award-winning filmmaker also. Final Detect is 12 minutes short film in which he cast Jimmy Taeneka as actor and Janice Koh as the actress.
He was born on 26 June 1979 in Singapore in a strict Christian family. After graduation, he pursues his career in acting and entertainment. He learns acting in films studies from Griffth University in Australia. He started his career in the film and television at the age of seventeen. He appeared in the film That’s The Way I Like It in which he played the supporting role. He appeared in many tele – movies also and played major and lead roles in the movie like Ang Tao Mui, Adventures of Holden Heng and Tau played the lead role in Sitcom also such as in The Yang Sisters Seasons 1 & 2 which is ran on MediaCorp’s Channel 5. Alaric also plays the role of a Chinese prisoner in Lion TV production named as The Great Wall Of China and in filming the Carrot Cake Conversations. After this, he starts filmmaking and his film When We Were Bengs achieved 3 awards at ReelHeart International Film Festival in 2007. He is also the vice president of NP Film Video Alumni Chapter and Sound and he is also an orator. Tay hosted many variety roads shows also.
