Desmond Lee is a famous Singaporean politician and lawyer who is the Minister in Prime Minister Office, Second Minister for National Development, and Second Minister for Home Affairs since 1 May 2017. Desmond Lee is the official member of the People Action Party and representing the Jurong Group Representation Constituency as an MP since 2011.
He was born on 15 July 1976 in Singapore and educated at Anglo-Chinese Junior School, Raffles Institution, and Raffles Junior College and completed his Bachelor of Civil Law degree at the University of Oxford in 2005. From 2005 to 2009 Desmond Lee served as Deputy Director of the Legal Branch at Singapore Ministry of Health and then he moved to the Ministry of Law. In 2011 general election, Desmond Lee stood as PAP candidate for Jurong Constituency (GRC) and elected at MP. On 1 September 2013, Desmond Lee was appointed to the role of Minister of State or National development. In 2015 Desmond Lee was re-elected as MP and got many ministries in 2017. Desmond Lee is married and has three children. Currently, Desmond Lee is working in the cabinet office and holding many ministries.
