Jurong Bird Park is Singapore’s first wildlife national park; it was situated in the year 1971 but opens for the public walk in the year 2012 and becomes Asia’s largest bird park. It has more than 5000 birds across 400 species of which 15% are threatened. Their aim is to enhance the visitors understanding and appreciation of the colourful world through the naturalistic exhibits, interactive feeding sessions, and world class bird shows. The main highlights of the Jurong Bird Park are home to four large free flight aviaries which mirror the natural habitats of the world from all over the world. The iconic waterfall aviary is the park’s largest walk – in an aviary that houses over 600 birds as well as the 30-meter high waterfall. It is the only park with an avian hospital in the Asia Pacific region.
