Khaw Boon Wan is a leading and famous Singaporean politician. He is currently holding various ministries in Singapore cabinet such as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure since 1 October 2015, Minister for Transport since 1 October 2015 etc. Khaw Boon Wan is the Chairman of the People’s Action Party since 1 June 2011. He is the current MP also for Sembawang GRC since 7 May 2006.
He was born on 8 December 1952 in Penang, Malaysia but now he is the official resident of Singapore. Khaw Boon Wan received his secondary education in Chung High School and Anglo Chinese School in Penang, Malaysia. Khaw Boon Wan received his Master of Science degree in industrial engineering in 1982 from the National University of Singapore and received his Doctor of Engineering honoris from the University of Newcastle in the year of 2002. Khaw Boon Wan began his career in the Singapore Civil Service and working in the Ministry of Health in 1977. From the year 1985 to 1987 Khaw Boon Wan served as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National University Hospital. He has been the MP in Singaporean Parliament since 2001. Currently, Khaw Boon Wan is holding many ministries in Singaporean cabinet and working in the office regularly.
