Currently, he is the professor in the Practice of Public Policy and Dean of the Lean Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the famous National University of Singapore.

Kishore Mahbubani is married and has two sons and one daughter. His wife was part of the US Commodities Future Trading Commission. In 2016 he suffered severe chest pains and later on Kishore Mahbubani underwent a double heart bypass operation.
