Lim Hng Kiang is a famous and popular Singaporean politician who is currently serving as the Minister of Trade and Industry since 1 October 2015. He is mainly working in Trade field serving with S. Iswaran in Industry. Lim Hng Kiang is the official member of the People’s Action Party since 1991.
He was born on 9 April 1954 in Singapore where Lim Hng Kiang was educated at Raffles Institution and later on, he was awarded a President’s Scholarship and Singapore Armed Forces Scholarship to study easily at the University of Cambridge. In the year 1985 Lim Hng Kiang was awarded a scholarship to study for a Master of Public Administration degree at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He started his career in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and later served as the Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of National Development. He was first elected to Parliament in 1991 as an MP for the Tanjong Pagar Group. After that in his political career, Lim Hng Kiang holds many ministries such as Minister for National Development, Minister for Health, Minister in the PM Office and currently, he is holding the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
