Lim Swee Say is a known Singaporean politician. He is currently serving as the Minister for Manpower and working in the office since 1 October 2015 appointed by the Prime Minister. Lim Swee Say is the official member of the People Action Party since 1996. He has been the Member of the Singapore Parliament since 1996.
He was born on 13 July 1954 in Singapore where Lim Swee Say was educated in Catholic High School and National Junior College. Later he was awarded a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) scholarship in 1973 to study in the United Kingdoms at Loughborough University. In 1991, Lim Swee Say completed his master degree in Management at Stanford University. Lim Swee Say served at Singapore National Computer Board as Chief Executive from 1986 to 1991 and as a chairman also from 1994 to 1998. Currently, he is the Member of the Parliament for East Coast GRC since 8 May 2011. From 12 August 2004 to 2015 Lim Swee Say also worked as Minister in the Prime Minister Office.
