Joseph is the first Singaporean who win a swimming medal at the Commonwealth Games when he taking silver in the 100m butterfly at the 2014 games in Moscow. His major breakthrough came in 2014 when he clocked 51.76 seconds in the Men’s 100 m butterfly finals. After that, he achieved a lot in his swimming career and became more popular worldwide. Recently, in 2016 Olympics he won the gold medal in the 100m butterfly.
